A few words from THE FOUNDER
RADEE HAMMETT
Every one of us has dreams and goals in life. One of my goals came to me in a place and at a time that could’ve broken me. That place was a correctional institution jail cell. Year after year I would see the conditions that I and others lived in. It literally blew my mind to see people go without the most common things known to mankind.
If I didn’t see for my own eyes, the hurt and embarrassment that was obviously on the face of many, I wouldn’t have the complete understanding that I have right here and now! I wrestled with the thought of, “What can I do to help?” I wondered how I could create opportunities for – and change the mentality of – someone living a world away from family and friends.
I dreamed that one day I would be fortunate enough to open a modern facility that will equip men and women in halfway houses with the tools, attitudes, and basic necessities they need after being released. Fortunately, I was blessed to make it out after serving my time and being paroled to a halfway house. Now I am ready to make that dream a reality.
Join me on my journey to bring hope to a world that many over look. It doesn’t hurt to help! The hurt happens when we don’t help!
